Why Foreign Travelers Are Falling in Love with Pakistan

In the past decade, Pakistan tourism has undergone a powerful transformation. Once hidden beneath layers of outdated stereotypes, this South Asian gem is now shining bright on the global travel radar. Thanks to its breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and unmatched hospitality, international travelers are falling head over heels in love with Pakistan — and they’re not shy about sharing their experiences.

At Hello Salam PK, we’ve been following their journeys — the blogs, the vlogs, the raw social posts — to understand how the world really sees Pakistan today. Through the eyes of these curious, open-hearted explorers, a clearer picture of Pakistan is emerging: real, raw, and remarkably welcoming.

One of the most consistent themes among foreign visitors? Hospitality in Pakistan is on another level.

“Pakistanis want foreigners to have a good time in Pakistan,” says Callum Abroad, a travel vlogger from Scotland. That simple truth echoes across stories from all corners of the country.

Canadian traveler Nolan Saumure couldn’t believe how generously he was treated.

“People here won’t even take money from me,” he said. “It’s a whole new level of hospitality — genuine, generous, and unforgettable.”

Pakistani-Canadian Basil Haseeb was captivated by the grandeur of the northern mountains.

“Standing among peaks that are 7,000 to 8,000 meters high is truly a unique experience,” he shared.

For Bangladeshi traveler Masud Mohammad (aka Nomadic Bangladesh), the connection felt deeply personal.

“It’s like reuniting with family,” he said, describing Pakistan and Bangladesh as “brothers.”

Pakistan’s hospitality isn’t the only thing winning hearts — it’s also the depth of culture, diversity of landscapes, and the human connections that leave a lasting impression.

“Lahore is one of the most beautifully chaotic places I’ve ever visited,” said American visual storyteller Paige Tingey, highlighting the vibrant culture and unforgettable food.

American influencer Drew Binsky, known for visiting every country in the world, famously declared:

“I came to Pakistan and I haven’t spent any money… because nobody will let me.”
He calls it “the world’s most hospitable country — by a long shot.”

American expat Angela Carson boldly challenged stereotypes:

“Pakistan isn’t dangerous for women like India is.”
Her reflection is encouraging for solo female travelers looking for destinations that feel both enriching and safe.

From snow-dusted peaks to ancient cities, Pakistan is full of visual poetry. Just ask the travelers.

Italian explorer Giulia Fusconi kept it simple but powerful:

“Pakistan is on a whole other level.”

Dana Wang from Australia spent over a month exploring the country and found joy everywhere — from Lahore’s architecture to Karachi’s food, and the serenity of Skardu and Hunza.

“Pakistanis are incredibly kind, warm-hearted, and joyful,” she said, recalling how strangers helped her fix a flat tire in Karachi with no expectation of anything in return.

South Korean creator Kim Daud even expressed his feelings in Urdu:

“Mujhe lagta hai keh mujhe Pakistan se pyaar ho jaye ga” — “I think I’m going to fall in love with Pakistan.”

And UAE-based influencer Khalid Al Ameri didn’t hold back:

“I’ve fallen in love with Pakistan, the people and the country are incredible — Masha’Allah, Pakistan Zindabad.” He described Nathia Gali as “beautiful beyond words.”

Perhaps the most touching testimony comes from Eva Zu Beck, the Polish traveler whose journey through Pakistan transformed her life.

“After a life-changing, perspective-shifting two and a half years,” she returned for a second visit and described it as “a dream.”
“It’s very much possible to see a place with fresh eyes even if we’ve seen it a thousand times before.”

These aren’t curated marketing messages — they’re real stories from real travelers, and they matter.

They tell a story of a nation that is welcoming, breathtakingly beautiful, and culturally rich. A place where people go out of their way to make you feel at home. A country that is finally being seen for what it truly is.
