What is Lok Virsa?

Lok Virsa is more than just a venue; it’s the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage, dedicated to collecting, documenting, preserving, and disseminating Pakistan’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Located at the Lok Virsa Complex, Garden Avenue, Shakarparian, it serves as a vibrant hub for arts and culture workshops in Islamabad and a key institution for cultural tourism in Pakistan.

Course Details: Timings, Fees & Duration

These immersive Lok Virsa training programs are designed to introduce participants to traditional Pakistani performing arts. Each course runs for two months, providing comprehensive instruction.

  • Rabab Training: 11am to 1pm
  • Singing Classes Islamabad 2025: 1pm to 3pm
  • Kathak Dance Course: 3pm to 5pm
  • Basic Dance Classes: 5pm to 7pm

The fee for each course is Rs. 10,000 for two months. Classes will be held every week on Tuesday & Wednesday at the Media Center Studio within the Lok Virsa Complex.
