About Carry On Jatta 4
Carry On Jatta is one of the most popular comedy franchises in Punjabi cinema. The first film arrived in 2012, and the series has built a loyal audience on both sides of the border because its humour is based on family chaos, mistaken identities and the quick banter of its lead actors. Carry On Jatta 3, also directed by Smeep Kang, was released on 29 June 2023 and, according to Wikipedia, crossed 100 crore rupees worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing Punjabi films ever.
The fourth film continues in that spirit. Listings describe the story as a secret romance that leads to a growing chain of lies, with the whole family scrambling to keep the truth hidden. It is rated UA13+ in its Indian listing, so it is generally pitched as a family comedy, though parents of younger children should still check the rating applied by the cinema where they book.
Cast and Crew
Smeep Kang directs again, as he did for the earlier sequels. Gippy Grewal and Binnu Dhillon return as the comic centre of the series. Listings also name Sargun Mehta, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Jaswinder Bhalla, Karamjit Anmol, Prince Kanwaljit Singh, Pukhraj Bhalla, B.N. Sharma and Shinda Grewal.
Entertainment coverage of the teaser reported that the late Jaswinder Bhalla, who played Advocate Dhillon in the series, appears in the film through AI recreation. Whether you find that touching or strange, it is a talking point for long-time fans who grew up with his courtroom comedy.
What Makes the Series Work
- Fast, dialogue-driven comedy in Punjabi that rewards audiences who enjoy wordplay.
- A returning ensemble, so you do not need to be an expert on the plot to follow it.
- Family-friendly situations built around weddings, relatives and secrets rather than heavy drama.
- Strong music and colourful sets that suit a big-screen outing with friends.
Is Carry On Jatta 4 Showing in Lahore Cinemas?
This is the question most readers have, so we will be direct. An earlier version of this page listed afternoon shows at a Lahore mall cinema. We could not verify any current Pakistani showtimes, theatre lists or ticket prices from an official source while updating this guide, so we are not repeating them. Showtimes change weekly, and a screening that was listed in the past may have ended.
What we can say is that the film had a worldwide theatrical release on 26 June 2026, and that international chains in the UK, Australia and North America listed it. For Pakistan, the decision to screen an Indian Punjabi film depends on the distributor and on current import rules for Indian content, so availability can differ from one city and one month to the next. Treat any claim about specific Lahore screens with caution until you see it on a cinema booking page.
How to Check Showtimes in Lahore
The fastest way to avoid a wasted trip is to confirm the show yourself. Follow these steps.
- Open the official website or app of the cinema chain nearest to you and select Lahore as your city.
- Search for Carry On Jatta 4 under Now Showing and Coming Soon. If it is not listed in either, it is not currently scheduled there.
- Check the date, time, screen and format before you pay. Punjabi films are sometimes shown only in limited slots.
- Look for the seat map, and book early for Friday evenings, Saturdays and holidays.
- Screenshot your confirmation and carry your ID if the cinema asks for it.
Cinemas Worth Checking in Lahore
| Cinema | What to do |
|---|---|
| Cinepax | Check the Cinepax website or app for Lahore locations such as Packages Mall |
| Nueplex | Check Nueplex listings for the Lahore branch |
| Cinestar | Check Cinestar listings for Lahore |
| Super Cinema and Universal Cinemas | Call the box office or check their social pages for the day’s schedule |
We list these as places to check, not as confirmed venues for this film. Always trust the live booking page over any blog, including ours.
How to Book Tickets Safely
- Book only through the cinema’s own website or app, or a well-known ticketing platform.
- Be careful with WhatsApp or social media sellers offering tickets at a discount, since fake or resold tickets are common during busy weekends.
- Compare the total price at checkout, because online booking fees can differ by platform.
- If you pay by card, watch for bank offers. Our bank discounts page tracks card deals that sometimes include cinema tickets.
Current Status as of October 2026
More than three months have passed since the worldwide release on 26 June 2026. Most films are by now moving out of cinemas, and many cinemas only keep a few late shows or drop the film altogether. The sources we checked did not confirm a streaming platform for Carry On Jatta 4. For comparison, Carry On Jatta 3 reached Chaupal on 7 September 2023, about ten weeks after its cinema release, and a Hindi-dubbed version arrived on Disney+ Hotstar on 15 March 2024. That pattern suggests a digital release for the fourth film is likely at some point, but no date has been confirmed, so we will not guess one.
If the film has left Lahore cinemas by the time you read this, watch the official channels of the Punjabi OTT services and the film’s own social pages for an announcement.
Why Pakistani Audiences Love Punjabi Comedy
Punjabi is the most widely spoken first language in Pakistan, and the humour in these films lands naturally in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi. The jokes about big families, marriage and village life feel familiar, which is why even films that never get a wide local release still trend in Pakistani social feeds and gather views on trailers. If you enjoyed the earlier films, you can read our Carry On Jatta 4 review for a closer look at the comedy and performances.

- Choose a mid-week show if you want cheaper tickets and quieter halls, where those options exist.
- Check whether the show has English or Urdu subtitles, as some prints of Punjabi films do not.
- Plan for the full runtime and snack queues, and check the film’s listed duration at booking.
- Ask your cinema about family or group offers, which some venues run seasonally.
